Attorney Pollard represents and advises both employers and employees, and regularly appears before administrative agencies such as the State of Wisconsin Equal Rights Division, the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission. He also represents municipalities and public employees in the grievance process and disciplinary matters before local Police and Fire Commissions.
We are well versed in requirements under state and federal employment laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Wisconsin Fair Employment Act (WFEA), state and federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964.
We can advise you in regard to employment contracts, including non-compete and non-solicitations agreements, as well as severance and/or resignation agreements.
We can advise you regarding modifications to your employee benefits plans, and we will also draft and/or update your employee handbooks and policies to ensure they comply with all legal requirements.
We will serve as your negotiator in collective bargaining, provide guidance on the interpretation of contract provisions, and represent you in the grievance process.
